Coming Events in May 2020

Venue: Fremont Branch Library
When: May 30, 2020
1:00 pm

The Seattle Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere musical, “Lydia and the Troll,” by actor and playwright Justin Huertas, May 8 – June 14, 2020.

The Fremont Branch Library and the Rep are planning an event related to the play at the library on Saturday, May 30, at 1:00 p.m.

On a similar theme, the Fremont Historical Society is beginning research on the history of performance arts in Fremont for our annual May exhibit at the library. We know that the Fremont Theater was just west of the library in the days of silent movies; and that, in their early years, Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre used Fremont Baptist Church as their rehearsal space. More recently is the annual Moisture Festival at Hale’s Palladium, comedy sportz and improv at The Atlas Theatre, and performances at West of Lenin.

Please contact us (see the Menu) if you have suggestions for other performance arts in Fremont (past or present) that we should research. As plans progress, we’ll update the website.
